‘Showcase’ Tulips will produce beautiful double blooms of violet purple that are delightful when mixed in among other shades of pink and blue, as well as rich plum and other shades of purple.
These delectable flowers will bloom throughout April, reaching a height of approximately 30cm/12″.
They are ideal for mixing in and among beds or borders and can also be used for multi-level planting in pots with other bulbs such as daffodils and crocus.
Tulips such as ‘Showcase’ will grow in a wide range of different soils, so long as there is good drainage. When planting, try to find a position of partial shade, at a depth and spread of 10cm/4″.
Remove flower heads as they begin to fade and avoid repeatedly planting tulips in exactly the same spot that they have been grown in recent years.
