Perfect for filling out a patio pot, this Lasagne Planting Bulb Mix contains all the bulbs you need for a beautiful container display. Intended for use via lasagne planting, this collection pack includes 15 Muscari armeniacum bulbs, 5 Hyacinthus Orientalis ‘Peter Stuyvesant’ bulbs and 20 Tulipa triumph ‘Synaeda Amor’ bulbs.
When planting in layers take care not to plant the bulbs directly over each other. Plant the bulbs at staggered depths of 20cm/8″ for the Hyacinths, 10cm/4″ for the Tulips and 5cm/2″ for the Muscari.
Try to plant with around 15cm/6″ between each Hyacinth bulb, 10cm/4″ between each Tulip bulb and 5cm/2″ between each Muscari bulb.
Cover the nose of the bulbs with 3cm/1″ of soil and place the pot in a cool 5-10 degree Celsius dark spot. Water after planting and check once a week, watering as necessary. When the bulbs have rooted and the buds are 3cm/1″ high (10-12 weeks), you can move the pot outside.
This method of lasagne planting will result in a continuous display of stunning pink and blue flowers that will evolve and mature throughout spring, providing up to 100 days of colour.
